
Woodside Hospital Radio won the 'Volunteer of the Year' award 2005 at Newham University Hospitals annual Chairman's awards.
Broadcasting to patients and staff in the hospital non-stop for twenty years the team collected one of the night's most prestigious awards.
Chairman of Woodside Hospital Radio Chris Middleditch said that the award was for "all volunteers past and present who have voluntarily given up their free time. Here's to twenty years more."
The award was presented by Chairman of the hospital Mike Smith and Lord Stratford Tony Banks.
